En Plein Air Gathering

You're Invited!

Art on the Bluffs and friends announce
En Plein Air Gathering
at Monroe Welcome Center
Saturday, June 28th
 from 8am-11am

Bring your own supplies and seating

Plein Air, meaning "in the open air", is a form of art created outdoors. The artist listens to their senses, paying particular attention to light.

Our focus is the Monroe Welcome Center and it's surroundings.  Choose your perspective and have fun. Bridge, building, garden....

This is not a competition, just a gathering of artists and friends.

There is an opportunity to have your plein air piece reproduced on postcards for the Monroe Welcome Center and the use of the Center's inside space to display your work has been generously provided by director Patricia Riess of the Monroe Welcome Center.

Come and join us in a celebration of the arts.

Hosted by Art on the Bluffs, Inc. and Welcome Center of Monroe County.

Send this invite along to persons of interest.

Important Announcement

Note to Artists, Volunteers & Supporters:
You have probably noticed the absence of information in regards to our 2014 Art Walk. It is with great difficulty that the AOTB, Inc committee has decided to forgo planning the walk this year in hopes of making strides in developing our organization. We are so grateful for the overwhelming support from our community over the past 5 years, please be assured that we will be pursuing other community events in place of the fall walk.

We are using this time to fund raise and restructure for next year's art walk. It is our hope to re-establish Art On The Bluffs as a community- wide organization, expanding our membership, fostering relationships with local businesses and most importantly promoting the arts.
Please stay tuned for more info on upcoming events and news about AOTB around town.

A Beautiful Day for an Art Walk!

It was a beautiful day and the crowds came out in numbers to stroll along Main Street and enjoy the sights and sounds of the art walk!

The day started off with the ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly named Susan Nobbe Children's Garden in honor of our late, dear friend and strong supporter of Art on the Bluffs. We are pleased to recognize Susan for her positive influence and unwavering support of our Art Walk event, love of the arts and devotion to the children of our community.

Susan's daughter Lauren and son Drew assist little Alayna cutting the ribbon at the entrance of the Children's Garden.

Members of Susan's family, Art on the Bluffs Committee members and City Council members gather together in front of the Children's Garden.

The Art on the Bluffs is proud to announce the Best of Show to Christopher Lynch for his very original and masterful artwork.  Christopher received a monetary gift from the committee and will also receive a free booth for next years walk.  Congratulations!

We are also proud to announce the Honorable Mention to Anthony Borchardt for his beautiful pottery display.  Anthony was presented with a certificate and in addition will receive a free booth for next  years walk.  Congratulations!
